Common Questions · FAQ
Q: What preparations are needed before a painless gastroscopy? How long does the examination take?
A: Before a painless gastroscopy, you need to fast for 6-8 hours and refrain from drinking water for 2 hours before the examination. No bowel preparation is required; just ensure your stomach is empty.
The examination itself takes about 15-20 minutes. Including anesthesia preparation and recovery, the entire process usually takes about 1 hour.
Q: What preparations are needed before a painless colonoscopy? How long does the examination take?
A: The day before a painless colonoscopy, you need to consume a light, liquid/low-residue diet. You must drink the bowel preparation solution provided by the hospital 4-6 hours before the examination until you pass clear, watery stools.
The examination takes about 20-30 minutes. If a small polyp is found, it will be removed on the spot, which may slightly extend the time. Including anesthesia and recovery, the entire process takes about 1-1.5 hours.
Q: If a small polyp is found during a painless colonoscopy, can it be removed directly?
A: Yes. During the examination, if small, benign-looking polyps are found, experienced endoscopists can usually remove them directly on the spot using minimally invasive techniques, avoiding a second examination and anesthesia for the patient, saving time and reducing risks. The removed polyps will be sent for pathological examination to determine their nature.
Q: What does Coronary Artery Angiography (CTA) examine?
A: This examination involves injecting contrast agent intravenously and using CT scanning to reconstruct coronary artery images. It is primarily used to observe abnormalities in the heart and blood vessel anatomy, the presence of plaque formation within the blood vessels, the degree of vascular stenosis, and to assess coronary heart disease risk.
Q: What problems can PET-CT primarily detect? Can international insurance cover it?
A: PET-CT is used for early cancer detection, staging, and treatment efficacy evaluation, as well as for diagnosing neurological and cardiovascular diseases.
Our partner, BenQ Medical Center, is a national Grade-A tertiary comprehensive foreign-related hospital and an internationally JCI-accredited hospital. It can issue English invoices and medical certificates that meet international insurance requirements and supports direct payment/reimbursement for nearly 40 domestic and international insurance companies. The specific reimbursement ratio and scope are subject to your policy. It is recommended to confirm with your insurance company in advance. If the insurance company requires hospital qualification information, please contact us.
Q: Which parts can be examined by Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI)? Can it be performed if there are metal implants in the body?
A: Our package allows you to choose one examination area from the cervical spine, lumbar spine, left/right knee, or left/right shoulder. Patients with metal implants (such as pacemakers, metal stents, etc.) need to inform the doctor in advance, and a professional will assess whether the examination can be performed.
Q: What is sleep apnea monitoring and who needs this examination?
A: This examination monitors changes in the patient’s central nervous system, respiration, cardiovascular system, and other systems during sleep. It is used to diagnose sleep-related breathing disorders such as sleep apnea and to evaluate treatment effectiveness. If you experience symptoms such as severe snoring, daytime sleepiness, or morning headaches, this examination is recommended.
Q: What does the Cranial MRI + MRA Brain Angiography package include?
A: This package includes two parts: ① Cranial MRI, used to examine diseases such as cerebral infarction, brain tumors, cerebral hemorrhage, and multiple sclerosis; ② MRA (Brain Angiography MRI), used to check for stenosis, aneurysms, arteriovenous malformations, and thrombosis in the large intracranial vessels. The package price does not include the cost of films.
