Currently, overseas users can use Alipay to bind international bank cards and then use mobile payments in most merchants in China, including catering, transportation, accommodation, and supermarkets. They can also use various payment methods such as scanning/being scanned, mini-program payments, password-free automatic deductions, and in-app payments.
The process for overseas users to use Alipay is the same as for domestic users. Currently, the types of overseas cards that can be bound to Alipay include major credit cards such as Visa, Mastercard, Diners Club, and Discover.
